Marieke is from Long Island, NY.  After attending UH Manoa in Hawaii, she returned to NY to help run the family business.  When the business closed up shop, Marieke and her South American husband sought warmer weather and ended up in Charleston, SC in 2008.  After 10 years in the Logistics field, specializing in Exports and International Supply Chain, Marieke pursed the opportunity to change careers and join IMC Charleston.  Although new to Professional Community Management, she has dove right in and is currently working toward earning her Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) through the Community Associations Institute (CAI).  Marieke comes from a diverse background and sums herself up as a traveling - beach bum - New York “board”.  Her favorite past time is taking trips with her husband and daughter, always looking forward to a new life experience.
